Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding
Casey and Ryan celebrated their dream Farmhouse at Veritas wedding; this is a venue full of charm and history. Nestled at the Blue Ridge Mountains base, the Farmhouse dates back to 1839. This country mansion is surrounded by lush vines from the neighboring Veritas Vineyards, creating an unforgettable backdrop for a romantic celebration. From the moment I arrived as their wedding photographer, I could sense how special this day would be.
Whimsical Design at Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding
In regard to wedding design, it reflected the couple’s style and vision, brought to life by Ashlee of Ashlee Virginia Events. Ashlee collaborated closely with bride Casey to create an elegant, organic aesthetic that perfectly complemented the venue’s natural beauty.
Unsurprisingly, Casey drew her design inspiration from her favorite designer, Kate Spade. The resulting color palette of neutrals, mauve, and soft pinks, accented with metallic and glitter details, felt contemporary and playful. Consequently, it was a modern take on timeless elegance, woven with whimsical flourishes.
Wedding Gown Envy
One of the most striking elements of the day was Casey’s choice of wedding gown. She wore Hayley Paige’s Dori gown, which brought together every aspect of her design inspiration. The dress featured a sheer, high-neck halter bodice covered in intricate crystals. This flowed into a dramatic flounce skirt of alabaster tulle with total horsehair layers and a sweeping chapel train.
It was understandably a non-traditional gown, but an unforgettable look that reflected Casey’s vibrant personality. Her bridesmaids complemented her beautifully, and she was dressed in BHLDN’s ivory Annabelle gowns by Jenny Yoo. In addition, each bridesmaid added a touch of sparkle with lattice crystal belts, enhancing the overall elegance of the day.
Wedding Florals at a Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding
In addition, Florals played a significant role in creating the enchanting atmosphere. The floral arrangements featured Cafe au Lait dahlias, blush roses, pink and white ranunculus, and fresh herbs like sage flowers. Each bouquet and centerpiece was thoughtfully designed to echo the surrounding landscape and add to the wedding’s romantic ambiance. The flowers’ fragrance and fresh mountain air make every moment feel genuinely magical.
Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding Ceremony
The Farmhouse at Veritas wedding ceremony took place in the late afternoon and was one of the most unique setups I have photographed. Guests were seated in a circular arrangement, which created an intimate, inclusive atmosphere. Casey and Ryan exchanged their heartfelt vows at the center of this circle, standing atop scattered rose petals. It was a moment filled with emotion and love. It was made even more meaningful by a beautiful tradition: the couple’s wedding bands were passed to each guest. As the rings entered the circle, guests held them and shared their silent well wishes for the couple’s future.
After Casey and Ryan were pronounced husband and wife, the celebration continued under the elegance of Sperry Tents. The cocktail hour was delightful, featuring garden games, a signature drink named “Orange Crush,” and live bluegrass music from a talented four-piece band. Guests sipped their drinks while playing custom cornhole games, which featured a lovable mascot design inspired by the couple’s chocolate lab, Hines. This paw and dog silhouette motif appeared in several thoughtful details, including table numbers and guest favors, adding a personal touch that made everyone smile.
Reception Memories at a Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding
The food was as memorable as the decor, starting with an array of mouthwatering appetizers. Guests enjoyed fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese, bacon jam served on crisp mini baguettes, brie cubes with jelly, and savory meatballs with guacamole. As the sun set, guests were invited to the reception and greeted with flutes of pink champagne, each glass rimmed with gold glitter. It was a glamorous way to transition from cocktails to dinner, setting the tone for the evening ahead.
Dinner was a four-course feast that delighted everyone’s taste buds. After the meal, guests were treated to a late-night snack of mini fried chicken sandwiches, a perfect way to refuel before hitting the dance floor. The celebration continued well into the night, with guests dancing under the stars and enjoying every moment of this unforgettable event.
Final Thoughts on a Farmhouse at Veritas Wedding
Photographing Casey and Ryan’s wedding was a joy and an honor. Every detail was infused with their personality, and the love between them was evident in every glance and laugh they shared. The Farmhouse at Veritas provided the ideal setting for their dream day, and I am grateful to have been there to capture each beautiful moment. This celebration was a testament to Casey and Ryan’s love and a stunning example of how thoughtful design and personal touches can make a wedding truly extraordinary.
